The New Union of Imperial Koopa Republics, also called the Koopa Union, is the 22nd-century Koopa Empire founded in a time warp. It is the second dominant superpower in Mushroom Kingdom Alternate Reality.
The Time Warp[]
In the present-day, Bowser, tired of continuously being defeated by Mario, ordered the Koopa Empire's top scientists to conceive a time-weapon which could be exploited. Unfortunately, the scientists were too successful. The resulting time warp effectively destroyed the current dimension entirely, and reformed the remnants in an entirely new dimension.
This new dimension had thousands of planets and millions of species, all highly intelligent. This gave way to the Great Beginning.
New Beginnings[]
There were no Koopas initially in this new universe, except for a mysterious supernatural figure, who would be known in every fairy tale as the "Snow Lady". In the following mythology of the new dimension, the Snow Lady recreated the universe entirely, and along came Koopas. In the famous script of Alexander Koopsky, the Snow Lady would heavily favor the Koopas. It was said that the first king, Koopa 1, was personally blessed by the Snow Lady to lead the Koopas.
Within several thousand years, the Koopas, under the direction of the near-godly beings: Ivan Koopchev, known as the "Holy One", and Dmitry Ukoopanov, the "Destroyer". Together, these two spread the mythos of the "Snow Lady", elevating the now-deceased deity to mythical status among Koopan culture. The two also brought the Koopas from all over the universe to form the New Union of Imperial Koopa Republics. An authoritarian-communist/religious theocracy was adopted, with the two godly Koopas serving as ceremonial heads of state while a general-assembly elected leader would run the nation.
The Great War[]
By 2110, the Koopa Union now a massive superpower. They now had control of the Horkin System, three major trade routes, and had the largest military buildup in a decade. Their neighbors, the Galactic Mushroom Republic and the Skylands Alliance, was deeply concerned about the massive military buildup and began hurling economic sanctions against the Koopa Union. Within a few years, the tightly-deadlocked economy could not run.
The sanctions were added on with several belligerent neighbors, the Dominion of the Almighty and the Tri-System Coalition, began attacking Koopa Union shipping. The Koopas retaliated in kind, firebombing several planets and committing unspeakable genocides against the populaces of the aggressors. The Galactic Mushroom Republic was outraged, and mobilized their army.
The General Secretary of the Koopa Union, Yuri Kooparov, decided enough was enough. The galaxy would be forced to live under the Koopas. Orders for the Imperial Koopa Navy to strike were issued.
On October 7, 2110, at 4:32 Standard Galactic Time, the Koopa Union struck from strategic preplanned positions all across the galaxy. The war would last for three terrible months, beginning with great gains for the Koopas, followed by a massive collaborated counterstrike from the Galactic Mushroom Republic and the Skylands Alliance, and ending with a stalemate.
At the end, the Koopa Union had miraculously survived barely scathed. They still has only used 5% of their manpower, and only 2% were casualties. They had, however, lost several major worlds. A peace treaty was signed, and the belligerents returned to their pre-war conditions.
